photography school pontoon bridge hotel Pontoon Beach

In a setting of unparalleled beauty, the Pontoon School of Photography is directed by Glenda Colquhoun and located on the shores of Lough Conn. Tuition is available to participants with an interest in photography at all levels.

Glenda is able to offer one or two day residential and non-residential courses throughout the year at Pontoon Bridge Hotel Mayo. A key factor that makes her photography courses so popular is their flexibility, evolving around the needs and aims and abilities of our participants and our fabulous location. There is scope for you to improve both your photographic techniques and your digital skills in a congenial, informal setting.
The courses consist of a blend of both practical photography and tuition, we are able to provide high spec laptops installed with Adobe Photoshop  (but do by all means bring your own laptop if you prefer). All digital printing is on Epson photo printers using Epson colour inks.

Students should have a digital camera (preferably with manual controls) but don’t let that put you off as we can always lend you one of our waterproof clothing and comfortable walking shoes are strongly recommended since the course involves outdoor location shooting.

The workshop runs each day from 10.30 – 4.30
Cost is €120 per person daily

Courses can be booked for any date, subject to the Course Director’s availability and a minimum of 2 participants.

Your current web browser must be updated to version 7 of Internet Explorer (IE7) to take advantage of all of template's capabilities.

Why should I upgrade to Internet Explorer 7? Microsoft has redesigned Internet Explorer from the ground up, with better security, new capabilities, and a whole new interface. Many changes resulted from the feedback of millions of users who tested prerelease versions of the new browser. The most compelling reason to upgrade is the improved security. The Internet of today is not the Internet of five years ago. There are dangers that simply didn't exist back in 2001, when Internet Explorer 6 was released to the world. Internet Explorer 7 makes surfing the web fundamentally safer by offering greater protection against viruses, spyware, and other online risks.

Get free downloads for Internet Explorer 7, including recommended updates as they become available. To download Internet Explorer 7 in the language of your choice, please visit the Internet Explorer 7 worldwide page.
